Job summary

CAMBA’s PS 198 Community School seeks a Family Liaison to support after-school programs in Brooklyn. You will help ensure student safety, manage daily office tasks, and track attendance and referrals to services.

The role involves coordinating parent workshops, maintaining records, and assisting with arrivals and dismissals, under the supervision of the Site Director. Strong health and fingerprint clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Some college credits, undergraduate student or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and/or equivalent experience.
• Must obtain Dept. of Health, Dept. of Education fingerprint clearance; doctor's note certifying good health; proof of negative results from TB test; Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance and State Central Registry (SCR) clearance.
• Ability to maintain SCR clearance and fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment.
• Ability to receive and maintain CPR/First Aid training certification
• Ability to receive and maintain FDNY F-07 certification
• Ability to receive and maintain 15hours of Dept. of Health School Aged Child-Care (SACC) training per year.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of each program participant by following all CAMBA after-school protocols and procedures.
• Manage the after-school office daily during after-school program hours.
• Monitor, collect, and compile daily and monthly attendance records of targeted participants.
• Complete daily walk-throughs
• Input all client attendance data into database(s) on a daily basis.
• Keep accurate records on absenteeism and results from counseling and referrals
• Follow up and report to participants' parent(s) attendance via telephone calls.
• Order, receive, and maintain program supplies.
• Maintain participant’s files.
• Coordinate Parent workshops regarding CAMBA’s workshops and services.
• Maintain daily attendance logs for all activities
• Assists with program’s arrival and dismissal protocols.
• Operate program in the absence of the Director
• With Site Director, maintains program ratios at all times.
• Covers group when needed to maintain program ratios.
• Assist Site Director with planning and conducting staff training.
