Job description

A law firm seeks a dedicated and results-driven Family Law Attorney to join its team. This remote-eligible position primarily handles cases in Eastern Washington counties that allow for virtual appearances and electronic filings. The firm provides a steady flow of clients, strong operational support, and a clear path to career growth. This role is ideal for an attorney with courtroom experience who thrives in a structured, performance-oriented environment.

Duties
  1. Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and related litigation.
  2. Manage a caseload independently, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  3. Bill and collect at least 1,500 hours annually while maintaining high-quality legal service.
  4. Accurately track time and case progress using the firm’s case management system.
  5. Work collaboratively with paralegals and administrative staff to maximize efficiency.
  6. Engage in legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  7. Advocate for clients in mediations, hearings, and trials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in family law.
  • Proven ability to bill 1,500+ hours per year.
  • Strong courtroom presence and a track record of delivering favorable outcomes.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Business-minded approach to legal practice with a focus on efficiency and results.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
Education
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Washington and in good standing with the WSBA.
Certifications
  • Active membership with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA).
