Intelletec represents a well-established boutique family law firm in San Diego seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to take ownership of a personal caseload and work with senior attorneys in a collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes work/life balance, a low billable target, and a pathway to autonomy while providing support from a seasoned team. Candidates must be licensed in California and have a strong family law background.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing law in California dedicated exclusively or primarily to family law.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Experience independently managing a family law caseload, or readiness to lead.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and client-management skills.
• CFLS designation is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage family law cases from intake through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and provide high-quality representation to clients.
• Draft motions, declarations, settlement agreements, and other family law documents.
• Handle custody, support, property division, domestic violence, and other family law issues.
• Appear in San Diego Superior Court and advocate for clients in hearings.
• Collaborate with the principal and senior attorneys while owning assigned matters.
• Maintain a sustainable pace to balance caseload with work/life balance.

Our client, a well-established boutique family law firm in San Diego, is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an opportunity for an attorney with substantial family law experience to take meaningful ownership of their own caseload while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Independently manage family law cases from intake through resolution
• Develop case strategy and provide high-quality representation to clients
• Draft motions, declarations, settlement agreements, and other substantive family law documents
• Handle matters involving custody, support, property division, domestic violence, and other family law issues
• Appear in San Diego Superior Court and advocate for clients in hearings and other proceedings
• Collaborate with the principal and senior attorneys while maintaining ownership of assigned matters
• Manage a reasonable caseload while maintaining a sustainable pace and strong work/life balance

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience practicing law in California dedicated exclusively or primarily to family law
• Active California Bar license in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Experience independently managing a family law caseload, or demonstrated readiness to step into a lead-attorney role
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and client-management skills
• Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) designation is highly desirable but not required
• Comfortable working independently without extensive supervision or training
