We are seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This role offers meaningful responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to handle substantive family law matters while being supported by experienced partners and a collaborative staff.
You will manage your own cases, appear in court, work directly with clients, and collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. This position is ideal for a family law attorney who values independence, mentorship, and a balanced, flexible work structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive assignments from multiple partners, effectively prioritize tasks, and manage multiple matters simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Independently handle court appearances and family law hearings on behalf of clients.
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively with paralegals, law clerks, attorneys, and administrative staff.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and discreetly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and consultants.
Skills & Experience:
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 3 to 7 years of licensed family law experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Xspouse, Clio, Lawyaw, and Lawgic is preferred.
- Strong legal research skills with comfort using WestLaw, Attorney’s Briefcase, online research tools, and traditional reference materials.
- Excellent writing skills, including drafting motions, pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
