Senior Family Law Attorney – Leadership & Ownership Opportunity
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Washington family law attorney for a senior-level opportunity with a growing law practice in the Kent, Washington area.

This position is designed for an attorney who is ready to move beyond a traditional associate role and take on increasing responsibility in legal leadership, team development, practice management, and ultimately firm ownership.

The successful candidate will begin by managing a sophisticated family-law caseload and working closely with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and firm leadership. Over time, the role is expected to expand into broader leadership and operational responsibilities.

For the right individual, this position offers a long-term path toward equity ownership and participation in the firm's future leadership and succession.

  • Handle complex dissolution, parenting-plan, child-support, spousal maintenance, property-division, enforcement, and related matters.
  • Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, mediations, trials, and other contested proceedings.
  • Develop case strategies and exercise strong independent legal judgment.
  • Maintain high standards of client communication, service, and professionalism.
  • Work effectively with paralegals and legal support staff and provide appropriate supervision.

  • Attorney mentoring and professional development.
  • Staff supervision and team management.
  • Recruiting and hiring.
  • Workflow and case-management improvements.
  • Quality assurance and practice standards.
  • Strategic planning.
  • Business development and practice growth.

An eventual equity opportunity would be based on demonstrated performance and the overall strength of the relationship, including factors such as:

  • Legal ability and professional judgment.
  • Consistent productivity and reliability.
  • Client-service standards.
  • Leadership and team-development skills.
  • Contribution to the growth and success of the practice.
