Job summary

Cgavery seeks a senior Partner-Level Family Law Attorney to lead and expand its family law practice in Raleigh. The attorney will manage existing client relationships, develop new business, and provide expert counseling and advocacy in complex domestic matters.

You will mentor junior staff, oversee matters from intake to trial, collaborate across practice areas, and help grow the firm's client-centered platform with autonomy and professional support.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar.
• Typically 7+ years of substantive family law experience.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated family law matters.
• Strong courtroom, negotiation, mediation, and dispute-resolution skills.
• Established relationships and a track record of referrals or business development.
• Portable book of business preferred; a business-development plan considered.
• Excellent research, drafting, and oral advocacy abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Sound judgment, discretion, integrity and client confidentiality.
• Ability to lead collaboratively and contribute positively to the firm’s culture.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an accomplished Partner-Level Family Law Attorney who can join at a senior level and expand its family law practice. The ideal candidate will be an experienced counselor and advocate with a strong command of complex domestic matters, sound professional judgment, and an established reputation within the legal community.

This opportunity is well suited for an attorney who combines excellent legal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in continuing to build their existing client-centered practice. Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated family law matters.

• Established professional relationships and a record of developing business or generating referrals.
