Job summary

GPAC will help place a Family Law Associate Attorney in San Diego. The role supports the Family Litigation Practice Group, handling meaningful cases from start to finish in a collaborative, mentorship-driven setting.

Applicants should have 1–5 years of family law experience, be admitted to the California Bar, and demonstrate strong analytical, writing, and oral communication skills along with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising attorneys with management of family law cases.
• Draft letters, pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation briefs, and trial briefs.
• Propound and respond to discovery; prepare meet and confer letters and motions to compel.
• Prepare deposition outlines, exhibits, and witness questions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums.
• Prepare for and attend ex parte hearings, RFO hearings, and trials.
• Maintain routine client contact and track billable time.
