Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. is seeking a Family Worker for its Early Head Start Family Child Care Program. The role focuses on parent involvement, intake, and referral coordination, serving families with children from 6 weeks to 3 years old across Brooklyn and Queens.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 2 years in Human Services, and strong partnership-building skills. Bilingual abilities in Spanish/English are preferred. Travel within the five boroughs is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of experience in Human Services required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conducts intakes and family partnership agreements; shows parents around the center.
• Acts as liaison between the center and parents from the community served.
• Assists in recruitment, interviewing, and registration in line with program policies.
• Maintains necessary records, documents, and reports to document eligibility and compliance.
• Provides referrals to services such as employment, mental health, housing and more.
