Job summary

Epworth Children's Home, Inc. is seeking a dedicated facilitator to lead mutual self‑help groups and parenting classes, and to provide wraparound services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing.

You will market groups, recruit parents, manage sites and guide the group until a peer leader emerges, while building statewide program reach and collecting data to inform program effectiveness. The role requires a background in human services and a commitment to faith‑based practice aligned

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in human services required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, regulations and procedures.
• Ability to write reports and respond to questions from groups of stakeholders.
• Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
• Must pass standard background checks (drug screen, FBI/SLED, DSS, etc.).
• Faith practices compatible with United Methodist Church.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a nationally recognized self‑help group; market, recruit and lead the group until a peer leader emerges.
• Build Circle of Parents to statewide scope and collect/analyze self‑help data.
• Teach and facilitate parenting classes for families of origin, kinship families, or foster parents.
• Develop an organized children's program for Circle of Parents participants.
• Assist in intake/assessment for kinship families; may carry a small caseload.
• Provide wraparound support services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing.
