Job summary

Epworth Children's Home, Inc. is seeking a dedicated facilitator to lead mutual self‑help groups and parenting classes, and to provide wraparound services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing.

You will market groups, recruit parents, manage sites and guide the group until a peer leader emerges, while building statewide program reach and collecting data to inform program effectiveness. The role requires a background in human services and a commitment to faith‑based practice aligned

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in human services required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, regulations and procedures.
• Ability to write reports and respond to questions from groups of stakeholders.
• Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
• Must pass standard background checks (drug screen, FBI/SLED, DSS, etc.).
• Faith practices compatible with United Methodist Church.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Serve as the primary facilitator for mutual self‑help groups, run and facilitate parenting classes as well as provide wraparound services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing. Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in human services required.
• Must have an understanding of children, adolescent and family treatment, as well as the ability to deliver evidence based practice with fidelity
• Good written and oral communication skills required including public speaking. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions.
• Must be able to pass standard background checking, including: drug screen, employment physical, FBI check, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry.
• Has a belief system and engages win faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
