Job summary

Epworth Children's Home seeks a dedicated professional to lead mutual self-help groups and parenting classes, delivering wraparound services within the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing. The role includes program development, recruitment, and data-driven improvements across SC.

The position requires strong communication, group facilitation skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practices within a faith-based organization.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in human services required.
  • Strong written and oral communication; public speaking abilities.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret journals, procedures or regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and present information to groups.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary facilitator for mutual self-help groups and parenting classes; provide wraparound services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing.
  • Facilitate a nationally recognized self-help group including marketing, recruitment and site management.
  • Build the Circle of Parents into a statewide program and analyze data from groups.
  • Teach and facilitate parenting classes for families of origin, kinship families and foster parents.
  • Develop an organized children's program for Circle of Parents children.
  • Assist in intake and assessment of kinship families; may carry a small caseload.
  • Provide wraparound support services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing.
