Job summary

Behavioral Services of Louisiana, LLC is seeking an Engagement Specialist to support family engagement, continuity of care, and service stabilization within the Family Support Organization. You will handle intake, reengagement, temporary coverage, and staff support to keep families connected to services and outcomes strong.

Responsibilities include onboarding, educating families about FSO and CSoC, coordinating with schools and providers, and maintaining compliant records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children, youth, and families preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds and build positive relationships.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn agency software systems.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned service areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, outreach, and onboarding activities for newly referred families.
• Help families understand Family Support Organization (FSO) and Coordinated System of Care (CSoC) services.
• Provide education on available supports, program expectations, and family-driven services.
• Support families in identifying and strengthening natural supports and community resources.
• Conduct outreach and re-engagement efforts with families who are difficult to reach or at risk of discharge.
• Coordinate with referral sources, schools, hospitals, and other providers.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all contacts and activities.
• Submit service notes and required documentation as per policy.
