Job summary

The JCC Association of North America in Berkeley is looking for an Assistant Director of Family Engagement to strategically develop and implement family programming. This role emphasizes community outreach and engagement with preschool families, encouraging Jewish life through events and educational initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing family-based events, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring responsive programming. Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree and a strong background in Jewish family programming.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and comfort with Jewish culture, traditions, values, and holidays.
• Competent in various skill areas such as planning, scheduling, record keeping, event design, and management.
• Ability to be on your feet and work a full shift, 5 days per week.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement family programming engaging young families.
• Work collaboratively with families and community partners to build programs.
• Manage all professional service contracts related to family programming.

Skills

Knowledge of current research and practices in Jewish family programming

Excellent customer service and relational engagement skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication

Ability to work effectively in a team setting
