Job summary

Kids’ Corps, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Family Engagement Specialist to support families as lifelong educators.

You will coordinate family education events, support parent-child relationships, and help families navigate early childhood programs. This in-person role emphasizes building trusted relationships, guiding families through the Family Partnership process, and connecting them with health care, social services, and community resources.

Qualifications

• FDC or higher with experience in family engagement, social services, early childhood education, or related field
• Regular schedule adjustment and availability for frequent evening events
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of community resources and family partnership principles
• Ability to build trust with families and maintain professional boundaries
• Competent with data tracking and time management tools (e.g., Outlook, QuickBooks Time)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate parent education events and parenting curriculum (e.g., Conscious Discipline)
• Lead transition efforts to kindergarten and between program levels
• Provide support and training to staff on family engagement strategies
• Partner with families to set and track goals through the Family Partnership process
• Assist families with accessing health care, social services, and child development resources
• Encourage parent involvement in decision-making and program governance
• Collaborate with community partners to support family needs
• Support as a Family Advocate and provide enrollment assistance as needed
