Job summary

Kids' Corps, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Family Advocate to support family well-being, engagement, and school readiness within our Head Start team.

The role focuses on empowering parents, linking families to community resources, and guiding them through goals related to child development and family life. This in-person position emphasizes building strong relationships between families, Head Start, and the community, with a 90-day introductory period and a defined wage scale based on

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months of experience working with families.
• Experience in a Head Start or family services setting is preferred.
• Role requires working with families, partners, and staff to support child development.

Responsibilities

• Family Engagement & Goal Setting: help families set developmental goals.
• Enrollment Support: guide families through application and enrollment.
• Health & Wellness: assist access to medical, dental, and mental health care.
• Community Resources: connect families with local resources and follow up.
• Parent Involvement: encourage participation in program events and governance.
• Classroom Support: assist in classrooms and support transitions.
• Attendance Monitoring: monitor attendance and address issues.
• Documentation & Communication: maintain records and communicate with families.
