Job summary

King Center Charter School is seeking a Leader of Family Engagement to strengthen relations with families and the community. You will oversee the PTO, engage families, and coordinate resources to support student success.

This role supports SEL initiatives and Lighthouse certification, serves as a liaison to current and prospective families, and helps recruit and engage alumni while promoting access to enrichment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least two years of related relationship-building experience.
• Experience coordinating resources to address children's social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Public speaking and presentation skills for meetings and workshops.
• Experience planning events and community engagement activities.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and partners.
• Basic proficiency with technology and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Oversight: maintain student registration and enrollment records; ensure accurate family contact information in PowerSchool; maintain records and data logs using Excel/Sheets.
• Family Engagement and Parent Support: liaison between KCCS and families; create welcoming environment for ideas and collaboration; advise PTO using Leader in Me resources.
• Community Relations and Partnerships: establish relationships with local nonprofits and partners; promote community involvement and connect families with resources.
• Alumni Engagement and Postsecondary Readiness: support Alumni Association development and engagement; promote postsecondary awareness and opportunities.
• School Culture, Enrichment, and Leadership Initiatives: coordinate enrichment activities; support Leader in Me initiatives and student leadership.
• Enrollment and Recruitment: collaborate on recruitment and outreach; engage families and alumni to raise enrollment.
• Other Responsibilities: attend meetings and trainings; support mission of King Center Charter School.
