Job summary

Behavioral Services of Louisiana, LLC is seeking an Engagement Specialist to support family engagement, intake, reengagement, and service continuity within the Family Support Organization (FSO). You will serve as a key resource for families, helping them access services and stay connected to supports.

The role involves coordinating with schools, health and behavioral health providers, and staff to reduce barriers, document activities, and assist with transitions during staffing changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children, youth, and families preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds and build positive relationships.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn agency software systems.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned service areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, outreach, and onboarding for new referrals.
• Educate families about FSO and CSoC services.
• Provide education on supports, expectations, and family-driven services.
• Support families in leveraging natural supports and resources to improve youth functioning.
• Perform outreach and re-engagement for hard-to-reach families.
• Document contacts and activities accurately and timely.
