Job summary

The Center for Justice Innovation seeks a Family Advocate for the Family Enrichment Center on Staten Island. You will engage families, facilitate Parent Cafes, and build relationships to promote protective factors and resilience.

You will provide advocacy, resource navigation, and warm referrals, coordinating with schools and community partners to create meaningful programming and feedback-informed improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years of professional experience in community-driven programs with children, youth, and families.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
• Excellent writing skills are a must.
• Skilled communicator able to work in multi-disciplinary setting and maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, welcome, orient, and meaningfully engage families to the FEC community.
• Develop authentic, strength-based relationships with families and the Community Advisory Board.
• Organize and promote opportunities for families to engage in planning and implementation of FEC offerings.
• Provide advocacy, resource navigation, and warm referrals to connect families with services.
