Job summary

Easterseals NH in Newport, VT seeks a Family Engagement Specialist to facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support, strengthening families in their homes. You will coach parents to ensure safe, nurturing time for children in DCF custody and build extended-family support through genograms.

Flexibility to support parents' schedules is valued; a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. We offer extensive training, supervision, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families in their homes.
• Coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children in DCF custody.
• Contact extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
