Job summary

Child Development is seeking a home-based services professional to support families with young children in Ventura County. You will conduct weekly visits, create lesson plans with parents, and ensure health, education, disability, and mental health timelines are met.

This role requires collaboration with parents and community resources to provide comprehensive services. Responsibilities include case management, family partnership planning, and regular participation in meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in a childcare program as a preschool or infant/toddler teacher or in a social service, community-based agency providing case management services.
• Related fields include human development, psychology, sociology, nutrition, or health education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits with families (1.5–2 hours per session).
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans with parents.
• Meet health, education, disability, and mental health screening/assessment timelines.
• Collect, screen, and track medical exams and immunizations with families.
• Provide two developmentally appropriate socializations/month for 0–5 year-olds and families.
• Provide case management and counseling with documentation.
• Maintain strength-based Family Partnership Plan and support family goals.
• Attend regular meetings and trainings; recruit in Ventura County.
• Plan and run workshops and family nights; translate minutes (EN/ES).
• Monitor attendance and support enrollment; complete PIR data in Child Plus.
• Refer families to community services and track follow-ups; build community links.
• Other duties as assigned.

State-awarded child development associate teacher permit

Associate degree in child/early childhood development

Related field with equivalent child development coursework
