Job summary

The Family Development Coach role with CPC Education and Career Services focuses on delivering individualized guidance and case management to individuals and families at the Waters Edge Educational Campus and surrounding NYC areas. You will recruit, review development plans, and collaborate with community partners to empower families.

Strong communication and cultural competence are essential. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Education/related field, a Family Development Coach

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred.
• Family Development Coach certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with youth and diverse populations.
• Must be culturally competent and respectful of participants’ heritage and identities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized guidance, counseling, and case management; maintain files and notes.
• Assist community members with educational, counseling, financial and career goals.
• Document meetings with progress notes and update FDP steps.
• Conduct community needs assessments and develop new partnerships.
• Plan and facilitate career readiness, college readiness, and life-skills workshops.
• Coordinate guest speakers and manage program scheduling.
• Support recruitment, enrollment, and retention of participants.
