Job summary

The City of Wichita is seeking a professional to administer case management for the Individual Family Development program, delivering asset-building, work supports, public benefits, and employment/education strategies to eligible applicants.

Work is scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with the City offering a full benefits package including vacation, holidays, health and dental insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement plans, and more.

Qualifications

Strong interviewing and counseling skills required.
Knowledge of community resources.
Ability to organize data into verbal and written reports.
Ability to develop and teach asset-building and life-skills workshops.
Ability to develop curriculum and coordinate topics.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Must have a valid Kansas driver's license.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop recruitment plans and presentations for the Individual Family Development program.
Determine eligibility of applicants for services.
Administer and analyze assessment tools for eligible clients.
Provide intensive case management and develop service plans.
Counsel applicants to identify barriers and address them.
Identify resources to address family needs.
Coordinate life skills and asset-building workshops.
Maintain records of contacts and services for participating families.
Vehicle operation may be required.
Other duties as needed.
