Job summary

The Division of Family and Community Services for the State of Illinois seeks an energetic administrator to oversee the operations of the DuPage County Family and Community Resource Center. You will supervise professional and non‑professional staff, provide casework services, and help connect residents with programs and services.

The role supports self-sufficiency and family integrity, with emphasis on policy interpretation, collaboration with stakeholders, and adherence to program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires four years of college with coursework in a social or human services field.
• Requires three years progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization that provides direct services to the public.
• Ability to travel to fulfill job duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Administrator of a Family and Community Resource Center in the Division of Family and Community Services (DHS).
• Serves as full-line supervisor.
• Reviews and evaluates reports of casework activities including error reports, audit findings and quality assurance reviews.
• Interprets, explains and implements new policies and procedures or changes in existing policies and procedures.
• Travels to establish and maintain effective public relations with employers and other interested parties in the local area served.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
