Volunteers of America is seeking a Family & Community Liaison to support afterschool and summer programs in Sioux Falls. You will connect students, families and school staff to enrich programming and student outcomes.

The role focuses on direct student support, family engagement and collaboration with community partners, with a schedule Monday through Friday, some evenings or mornings as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of experience in school age care, education, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to engage with families and school staff.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Direct Student Support: work with students during school day and afterschool to improve math, reading and social skills.
• Afterschool and Summer Programming: coordinate activities and collaborate with community programs.
• Family & Community Engagement: build connections with families and coordinate educational opportunities.
• Collaboration: work with agency and school staff to align goals and communication.
