Job summary

Epworth Children's Home seeks an Early Intervention Specialist to deliver Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination for children birth to five with developmental delays or disabilities. The role involves frequent home visits and working with parents and caregivers within Richland and Lexington counties.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in early childhood or related fields, at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid South Carolina driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related fields.
• One year experience working with children birth to three years and/or children with developmental delays, diagnosis, or disabilities.
• Knowledge of infant and child development.
• Ability to collaborate with other professionals and agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to write professional reports and correspondence.
• Must possess a valid SC driver's license.
• Faith compatible with United Methodist Church beliefs.
• Must pass standard background checks (drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, Sex Offenders Registry).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination for children birth to five with developmental delays.
• Perform frequent home visits and contacts with families and caregivers.
• Coordinate care services across Richland and Lexington counties.
• Collaborate with BABYNET, SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and Medicaid policies.
