Job summary

Epworth Children's Home is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist to work with families and caregivers of children birth to five with developmental delays, providing quality training and service coordination. The role includes home visits and collaboration with Babynet and state agencies in Richland and Lexington counties.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in related fields, at least one year of relevant experience, a valid SC driver's license, and the ability to pass background

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related fields such as Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or Child Development.
• One year experience working with children birth to three years of age and/or children with developmental delays, diagnosis, or disabilities.
• Working knowledge of infant and child development.
• Ability to work in collaboration with other professionals and agencies.
• Demonstrated ability/experience in writing professional reports and correspondence.
• Must possess a valid SC driver's license and use of personal vehicle.
• Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
• Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry

Responsibilities

• Provide Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination for children birth to five with developmental delays, per Babynet and SC policies.
• Work with parents/caregivers during frequent home visits and contacts.
• Coordinate services across Richland and Lexington counties Monday to Friday.
