Job summary

Epworth Children's Home in South Carolina seeks an Early Intervention Specialist to support families of children birth to five with developmental delays. You will conduct home visits, provide Family Training and Special Instruction, and coordinate services with Babynet, SC DDSN, and Medicaid.

This full-time role covers Richland and Lexington counties, requiring collaboration with professionals, strong report writing, and a heart for faith-based care.

Qualifications

• Must live in Richland County.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related fields such as Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or Child Development.
• One year experience working with birth to three years of age and/or children with developmental delays, diagnosis, or disabilities.
• Working knowledge of infant and child development.
• Ability to work in collaboration with other professionals and agencies.
• Demonstrated ability/experience in writing professional reports and correspondence.
• Must possess a valid SC driver's license and use of personal vehicle.
• Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
• Must be able to pass standard background checks, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry

Responsibilities

• Provide Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination for children birth to five with developmental delays/disabilities.
• Work with parents/caregivers through home visits and contacts.
• Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services.
• Adhere to policies set forth by Babynet, SC DDSN, and Medicaid.
