Job summary

Audubon Area Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Family Advocate/Program Assistant (FT) for Head Start to support children, families, and communities with social services and parent involvement.

You will provide instructional experiences, coordinate services, and work 7.5 hours daily (37.5/wk) across 205 program days, with a travel/driver's license requirement. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred and a HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field, or certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Job Skills / Requirements

Starting wages: $13.65 - $18.15 hourly. Will create, provide, and coordinate services and activities with children, families, and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being. Will provide instructional experiences to Head Start families and children in the areas of social services and parent involvement. Working 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week, 205 days per year. Travel/valid driver's license is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Six months of related experience is preferred. An associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field, or certification must be obtained with 18 months of employment.
