LJB Inc. in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a Mid-level Structural Engineer to join its Safety practice.

You will analyze, design, plan, and create structural components and systems for fall protection projects, coordinating with design staff and preparing calculations and construction documents. The role requires a Bachelor’s in civil/architectural/mechanical engineering with structural emphasis, 5+ years’ experience, and proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, RAM, and other CAD/analysis tools.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering with structural emphasis preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in structural design, with fall protection experience preferred.
• CAD experience including Revit and Bluebeam; RAM or other structural analysis software experience.

Responsabilidades

• Documents existing conditions for fall protection system additions (platforms, anchorages, lifelines).
• Analyzes building components supporting fall protection systems (steel framing, cold-formed steel, concrete).
• Develops layouts of fall protection systems coordinating with the existing structure.
• Prepares calculations detailing engineering design and assists with construction documents.
• Coordinates with design staff to ensure accurate drawings; uses Revit/CAD for tasks.
• May coordinate projects and communicate with clients; participates in training to stay current.
