Job summary

United Care ABA-New York is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to work one-on-one with children with autism in a structured, skill-based setting. We can build a schedule around your Fall class timetable, offering consistent part-time work you can keep through college.

This is hands-on experience in behavioral health, child development, and real-life skills, with ongoing supervision from a BCBA to guide you and help you build clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (any setting counts).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with kids.
• Reliability and follow-through.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism in home or community settings.
• Receive ongoing supervision from a BCBA.
• Apply ABA principles to support communication, social skills, and independence.
• Help develop executive functioning like planning and routines.
• Track behavior and progress data.
• Use de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
• Participate in training and certification efforts.
• Maintain professional and compassionate interactions with families.
