Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking an undergraduate intern to support the product marketing manager for the high-speed detector line in Irvine, CA. You will partner with Product Marketing, report to the Sr.

Product Marketing Manager, and gain hands-on experience across marketing and technical domains. Responsibilities include researching VCSELs and ethernet transceivers, collecting competitive data, updating marketing content, and assisting sales training materials.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in mechanical/electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science or related majors.
• Technical knowledge from coursework and labs.
• Willingness to learn across technical and business tasks.
• Strong organization to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks.
• Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist product marketing with day-to-day activities for the high-speed detector line.
• Support development of product training materials for sales staff.
• Contribute to updates and improvements to product web pages and marketing collateral.
• Collaborate with internal teams to help grow revenue and improve processes.
• Collect market development and technical information on VCSELs and ethernet transceivers.

Job description

As an undergraduate intern at MKS Newport, you will partner with Product Marketing to support day-to-day activities of the product marketing manager for high-speed detector line. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager.

Co‑op Program Overview

• 6‑month intern/co‑op assignment within a functional area of MKS Inc that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Searching and collecting relevant market development and technical advancement of VCSELs and ethernet transceivers as directed
• Collecting competitive product information to help support development of marketing and pricing strategies
• Interaction with internal teams with various functions to help grow revenue and improve internal processes
• Supporting development of product training materials for sales staff
• Correcting, updating and improving product web page contents and marketing collaterals
• Support on other day-to-day activities as required

Compensation And Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
