Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Structures Technician (Falcon) for multiple shifts to perform modification, repair, assembly and installation of rocket and spacecraft components. The role requires reading engineering drawings, drilling, countersinking, deburring, sealing and assembling parts per specifications.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of relevant experience or a trade-school certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 1+ years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, military, automotive, or construction OR certificate from an accredited trade school program in A&P, manufacturing, and/or electronics
• Experience in military or aviation manufacturing, high-volume manufacturing, and reading engineering drawings would be beneficial
• Experience using hand tools and power tools, precision measuring tools, and basic arithmetic

Responsibilities

• Modification, repair, assembly, and installation of rocket and spacecraft components
• Use drilling, reaming, countersinking, and other tooling as per drawings
• Align parts and secure with clecos, clamps, and fasteners
• Inspect work against drawings and specifications
• Handle hazardous materials in approved manner
• Lift up to 25 lbs and work across multiple shifts
