Job summary

World Relief is expanding its Thurston County program and seeks a skilled coordinator to mobilize local churches and volunteers for refugee and immigrant services. You will help grow partnerships, train faith leaders, and support outreach campaigns in a role that blends on-site and home-based work.

Ideal candidates will have a mature Christian faith, strong public speaking and writing abilities, and experience with vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

Mature Christian faith aligned with World Relief values.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, especially refugees and immigrants.
Experience organizing groups or volunteers.
Strong public speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow a diverse network of local churches and faith communities.
Equip and mobilize faith leaders and community members to engage refugees and immigrants.
Provide training and support for churches and organizations serving refugee populations.
Public speaking at community groups, churches, schools, and events.
Coordinate webinars and video conferences to inform the community on refugee issues.
Implement a strategy for sustainable volunteer recruitment and onboarding.
Attend staff and departmental meetings in Thurston office and outreach teams.
