Valor Christian High School is seeking an Assistant Coach to mentor student-athletes, model Christian character, and support the athletic program with faith-based development. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and alignment with Valor’s values in daily practice and competition.

The position involves collaborating with coaches, parents, and administrators to foster academic and athletic excellence while guiding athletes in spiritual growth and college recruitment efforts where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience with high school athletes.
• Mentoring student-athletes to develop character and faith.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and coaches.
• Maintain confidentiality in school matters.
• Demonstrate servant leadership and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Establish and model Christ-centered leadership and character development.
• Support Valor’s values and beliefs in daily activities and interactions with students.
• Provide strategic, inspiring team support and collaborate with department staff.
• Develop and implement spiritual and character development plans for athletes.
• Assist with film review, game analyses, and scouting where needed.
• Coordinate with parents and the Director of College Recruiting when applicable.
• Contribute to Valor Coaches Association events and initiatives.
• Support team planning, practices, and overall program goals.
