Role Summary

An Assistant Coach of a Valor Christian Athletic team will prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ within the platform of sport. As a committed follower of Jesus Christ, the Coach will provide excellent support of the program, including intentional development of the athletes’ faith in Jesus Christ and excellence in Christian character, while instilling great work habits and stressing the primacy of academics.

  • Assist athletes and families in the college recruiting process with the Director of College Recruiting when applicable.
  • Know and understand CHSAA rules and regulations with the Director of CHSAA Compliance.
  • Be a contributing member of the Valor Coaches Association by attending VCA events.

Education, Experience, and Required Competencies

• Coaching experience in the particular sport.

Physical Demands

The basic physical demands are the same for all employees: lift/move up to 25 pounds periodically and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment

The work environment includes classroom, office, and outdoor events with varied noise levels while performing essential functions.
