Job summary

St. Louis School is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support teachers in planning, guiding, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment. The role emphasizes confidentiality, safety, and collaboration with staff to reinforce Catholic school policies.

The assistant will provide instructional support, supervise students, and help prepare materials while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere aligned with the Archdiocese of San Antonio standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education or an Associate’s or higher degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in educational or youth settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Assists the classroom teacher in planning, guiding, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters and adheres to safety training and protocols.
• Provides instructional assistance and leads small group activities as planned by the teacher.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
