Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers in planning, guiding, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment. The role includes preparing instructional materials, assisting with activities, and supporting learning aligned with the school’s philosophy and curriculum.

Responsibilities include supervising students, maintaining records, and upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college study or higher degree or equivalent experience considered.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver license required.
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the Catholic education philosophy and school mission.
• Assist teacher in planning materials, teaching aids, and instructional setup.
• Provide supervision before, during, and after school as students load/unload.
• Assist in maintaining records and enforcing classroom rules.
• Lead small group activities and provide instructional support as planned by the teacher.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support student learning.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
