Job summary

Bethany seeks a Safe Families for Children Coordinator to support foster care and community outreach within a Christian framework. You will recruit, train, and coordinate church partners and volunteers to provide temporary care for children and support families in crisis.

You will engage churches at multiple levels, develop leadership, train ministry leads, and build volunteer networks while ensuring compliance and reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or programs is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with faith communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage churches across participation, lead, and community lead levels.
• Recruit and train church ministry leads and coach them.
• Coach volunteers and ensure regular recruitment, support, and empowerment.
• Oversee growth of Circles of Support to engage current and new volunteers.
• Develop faith forums or pastoral gatherings as needed.
• Facilitate recruitment of volunteers through church engagement and events.
• Provide written reports to management and stakeholders.
