Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who demonstrate strong Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. Candidates should be active church participants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, delivering LifeWise lessons, implementing provided curricula, maintaining a safe and organized classroom, and following LifeWise discipline policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records for each class and provide to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
