Rockford Rescue Mission in Rockford, IL seeks staff to support the holistic growth and development of residents. You will communicate with the Program Supervisor, model our Four Life Changing Practices, track resident movement, and help residents resolve conflicts.

You will uphold Christian values, make referrals, maintain safety, participate in trainings, attend meetings, assist with education and computer learning, supervise daily cleaning, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate compassion toward the poor, needy, and homeless.
• Must manifest Christian character traits of integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility.
• Must display respect, gentleness, and accountability when interacting with the crisis guests and recovery program residents.
• Must be teachable and function as a team player.
• Must engage in safe and healthy work practices, both on the premises and off-site facilities. Must take an active part ensuring the safety, health and well-being of all staff, volunteers, and Mission guests.
• J03 license required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Communicate with the Program Supervisor regarding resident service assignments and responsibilities.
• Model for and help residents to grow in practicing our Four Life Changing Practices.
• Track resident movement in and out of the facility and monitor in-house resident visitations.
• Help residents to resolve conflicts and become solution-oriented with the problems they experience.
• Look for opportunities to make referrals to the appropriate staff for follow-up counseling.
• Exhibit non-threatening conflict resolution amidst guest or resident disputes.
• Enforce program principles and procedures in a spirit of compassion and respect (Eph.4:1-3, 7).
• Document any and all corrective actions; filing where designated, and routing copies when appropriate.
• Attend weekly Recovery Program staff meetings.
• Attend any internal/external trainings, staff meetings, or seminars as suggested by Program Supervisor.
• Attend weekly supervisory meetings with Program Supervisor.
• Attend any required first aid, CPR, and/or fire safety trainings as scheduled by Human Resources.
• Assist residents with educational needs and computer learning skills.
• Supervise functions needed in preparation for daily cleaning.
• All other duties as assigned.
