Job summary

Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for our Outpatient team. You will perform initial examinations, develop prognosis and plans of care, and supervise therapy interventions in collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, re-evaluations, discharge planning, and coordinating with providers. Must hold Maryland licensure, and BLS certification; outpatient schedule management is required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master, or Bachelor in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care.
• Provides or directs therapy interventions consistent with the plan of care.
• Involves patient and others in planning, implementing and assessing the plan of care.
• Reexamine patients to evaluate progress and modify or discontinue therapy as needed.
• Discharge planning with goals and follow-up, coordinating with the care team.
• Coordinate and document all aspects of patient management with the care team.
• Supervise rehab aides, office staff, and volunteers as assigned.
• Manage clinic schedule and communicate caseload issues.
