The City of New York's Department of Social Services seeks an Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist, Level II to represent the agency at New York State Fair Hearings, review records, and present the agency's case.

Under supervision, you’ll supervise staff, coordinate with DHS/HRA, liaise with community groups and vendors, prepare evidence files, and ensure timely, accurate decisions while maintaining program integrity and compliance with NYS social service policy.

Formación

• High school diploma and 3 years of relevant social/human services experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 18 months of relevant experience in benefits or social services.
• 60 semester credits substituted for experience with 18 months relevant work.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise staff and monitor performance to meet standards.
• Prepare and present agency cases at hearings with supporting records.
• Establish relationships with community groups, vendors, and external agencies.
• Ensure timely, accurate review and processing of case actions and reports.
