The Platte County fair and maintenance department in Platte County, WY is seeking friendly, dependable, self-motivated applicants to join our team. The Platte County fair and maintenance department is seeking friendly, dependable, self motivated applicants that have mutli-tasking abilities to join our team. Under the direction of both the Fair Manager and the Maintenance department head, applicants will be in charge of both assisting the fair manager in year round office duties and preparations for the annual Platte County Fair. As well as janitorial cleaning duties of county buildings, assisting in maintenance duties as they arise. This job will be a year round full-time position with flexible hours and may require some nights and weekends during the busy season.
Candidates must have completed high school or a GED equivalent program and must speak, read, and write English at a level necessary for satisfactory job performance. They must also successfully execute principles and practices of public relations, operate standard office machines and equipment. Applicants will be trained to operate specialized office software systems. Applicants must also have basic knowledge of everyday cleaning procedures. A strong candidate will possess excellent time management, superior verbal and written communication skills, have experience managing multiple tasks at various stages, possess excellent organizational skills, and show the ability to many different tasks in a single work day. It is desired, but not required, that candidates for the position have experience in public service, or in a public-facing job that involves involvement with the public.
