Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to support the Quality & Reliability team at the Phoenix facility. The role involves failure analysis of leading-edge semiconductor devices, operating advanced analytical tools, sample prep, safe chemical handling, and meticulous documentation to drive quality improvements.

Responsibilities include FIB/TEM operations, data reporting, method development support, and 6S lab practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.S.) in science/engineering/technology or related field.
• Basic PC skills with MS Windows OS and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks to deadlines.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dual-Beam FIB to prepare TEM samples or conduct materials analysis and SEM imaging.
• Operate TEM for imaging, analysis, and reporting.
• Perform TEM sample preparation including site marking, de-layering, and coatings.
• Handle chemicals safely per PPE protocols.
• Collect, organize, and report data to internal and external customers.
• Assist engineers with developing analytical methods.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping in the lab and protocols.
• Support Fab manufacturing operations and on-call schedule.
