Job summary

Plexus is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer in Wisconsin to support manufacturing by diagnosing product failures, analyzing defects in electronics, and identifying corrective actions.

You will work with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams, operate lab equipment, generate reports, and help validate new processes. A Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience is preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in electronics troubleshooting, failure analysis, rework or repair.
• Hands-on failure analysis of PCBA, boards, or systems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills; Statistical Process Control software skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot product failures in manufacturing and customer sites.
• Physically analyze defective electronic, electrical and mechanical components.
• Assist in assessment and introduction of new product, process or material by analysis.
• Monitor manufacturing processes using analysis test vehicles.
• Operate a variety of lab equipment to complete analysis.
• Generate reports to summarize findings using Google Workspace.
