Job description

About the Job

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a full‑time ABR board certified or board‑eligible radiation oncologist. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and scholarly productivity, and a desire to support the research and education missions at our community practice setting, Lakes Medical Center, in Wyoming, Minnesota.

The candidate will be expected to maintain a clinical practice and may see patients at University of Minnesota clinics throughout the Minneapolis metro area. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work, develop collaborative or independent, externally funded research, and to mentor and teach medical residents and students.

Faculty will be active in national organizations and foster an academic environment for students, residents, and faculty.

Minimum qualifications: MD or equivalent degree; eligibility for medical licensure in Minnesota; board certified or board eligible in radiation oncology; completion of an ACGME‑accredited radiation oncology residency training. Academic rank, compensation, and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: The salary at the University is dependent upon academic effort and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC benchmarks.

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
