Position Description Summary: | The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) and the George Washington Cancer Center (GWCC) are seeking an oncologist to join the faculty as the leader of the Section of Experimental Therapeutics and Early Phase Trials who will provide leadership and direction, in collaboration with other members of the senior leadership team, for the development and growth of a robust clinical research program. The MFA is an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University. The Division of Hematology and Oncology is an expanding division within the evolving, multidisciplinary Cancer Service Line of the academic medical enterprise. The GWCC brings together the resources of the University, the MFA, and the GW University Hospital to expand current research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, D.C. area. The GW Cancer Center provides outstanding cancer care, conducts groundbreaking research, and offers high-quality education, training, and community outreach programs. This non-tenure track position will be made at the rank of associate or full professor and will have a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is expected to start July 2025. |
