Job summary

University of Alabama is seeking a Faculty Development Program Manager to run faculty and leadership development initiatives from the Office of Academic Affairs. The role designs and delivers programs for faculty at all levels, while overseeing recognition efforts and award processes.

Day-to-day, the manager works with campus partners, faculty, and academic leaders to plan, communicate, and assess these programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of higher education experience, or a master's with 2 years.
• Prefer experience in faculty development, academic affairs, or leadership development in higher education
• Prefer experience managing multiple programs at once, coordinating faculty awards, and running program assessment
• Prefer project management training or certification

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and implement faculty and leadership development programs for faculty at all levels
• Provide program and project management support for university-wide development initiatives
• Manage faculty recognition initiatives and award processes
• Promote faculty accomplishments and raise awareness of university-wide recognition opportunities
• Partner with staff, campus partners, faculty, and academic leaders on planning, communication, and assessment

Education

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of higher education experience, or a master's degree and 2 years
