Job summary

The University of Denver is seeking a Faculty Developer within the Office of Teaching and Learning to advance the adoption and effective use of educational technology across the faculty. You will design and deliver development programs, provide LMS troubleshooting, and collaborate with IT and faculty to enhance online teaching.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost/Director, you will lead consultations, trainings, and community initiatives, while maintaining currency in higher education

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emerging trends in higher education related to educational technology and online learning.
• Proficiency with Learning Management System administration.
• Knowledge of trends and effective faculty development practices.
• Ability to create inclusive learning environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Public speaking and presentations.
• Effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and assess research-informed faculty development programs.
• Support faculty in the adoption and use of learning technologies.
• Work in collaboration with IT to support LMS administration.
• Conduct confidential and problem-solving consultations with faculty and departments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the LMS and other instructional technologies.
• Collaborate with OTL staff on onboarding and programming initiatives.
• Represent the OTL in campus-wide initiatives and committees.
• Provide backup technical support to OTL-supported educational technology systems.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
