Job summary

WVU Medicine invites applications for a Faculty Certified Nurse-Midwife in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will provide full-scope midwifery care across prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services, collaborating with OB/GYNs.

The position includes teaching responsibilities for medical and nursing students, potential travel to additional sites in WV/MD/PA as needed, and participation in call coverage.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse-Midwifery from ACME-accredited program.
• Eligible for West Virginia APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) by AMCB with current BLS and NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care within full-scope midwifery.
• Manage labor and delivery and newborn care in the immediate postpartum period.
• Deliver gynecologic and well-person care, including family planning and menopause.
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs and care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and midwifery/nursing students; share on-call duties.
